Join Phipps on Thurs., May 4, to hear from Tim Beatley as he leads a discussion about the potential role of, and lessons from, Pittsburgh’s extensive network of City Steps. Beatley will discuss the recent short documentary film made about the steps, produced in conjunction with the recent City Steps Symposium held at the Frick Environmental Center in November of 2022. Beatley will also discuss some similar initiatives and parallel efforts in other partner cities in the global Biophilic Cities Network. From San Francisco to Singapore to Wellington, NZ, he will argue that deep connections to nature require investments in pedestrian infrastructures like the City Steps.
